I painted this after spending time along the dramatic coastline of South Australia, where land meets sea in the most breathtaking embrace. There’s something about standing on the edge of a high cliff, looking out across the endless ocean, that puts everything into perspective—it’s humbling, grounding, and deeply moving.

I tried to capture the golden softness of the sand below, the rhythmic dance of the waves, and the way the light shifts so subtly across the sky at the close of day. The cliff face, with its wild grasses and earthy tones, felt like a living memory—solid, weathered, and wise. And the silhouetted palms at the top are like quiet guardians, watching over this sacred meeting point between land and sea.
